TimeRoll keeps a roll sealed while you shoot, then lets the whole story appear later. These answers cover the most common questions.
Which roll length should I choose?
Choose 12, 24, 36, or 72 exposures when creating a roll. The selected capacity is fixed for that roll so its rhythm and completion point stay predictable.
Why can’t I preview a photo after taking it?
A TimeRoll stays sealed while it is active. You can see progress and add notes, but the actual photos remain hidden until the selected capacity is reached and the roll has been developed and opened.
What happens when the roll is full?
After the 12th, 24th, 36th, or 72nd exposure—depending on your choice—the shutter closes for that roll. Start developing, complete the reveal, then open the roll to view the photos.
How do I fix camera, microphone, location, Face ID, or Photos access?
Open iOS Settings › Apps › TimeRoll and review the relevant permission. TimeRoll asks only when a feature needs it; location and voice notes are optional.
How does protection work?
Protected photos and rolls use on-device encryption. Keep your password safe. Face ID can help reset a forgotten password only when recovery was enabled on that device.
How do I save or share a photo?
Open a developed roll, choose a photo or sharing layout, then use the system share sheet or Save to Photos. Nothing is exported automatically.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a roll inside TimeRoll to remove the photos and notes it contains. Deleting the app removes its local container; copies already exported to Photos or another app must be deleted there separately.
